Students will participate in the fair during their Science classes. We will be discussing the dangers of tobacco use, disability awareness, vaccinations and dental hygiene.
The Library will be open on Wednesday April 16 during lunches for book check in and out. No computers.
With less than 30 school days left this year, it’s time to pay fines and return books so we can start fresh next year.
Tryouts will be held next week, April 21-25 from 3pm – 5pm. Location will be announced soon. Please wear comfortable workout clothing, tennis shoes and your hair up. We look forward to seeing you there!
Results from the Track & Field Meet on Friday, April 11: Our girls team lost by 1 point to Sage Valley. Our boys team was also second.
Congratulations to all participants! Next meet is Thursday, April 17th at Kuna High School. The teams participating will be East Valley, Emmett, and Kuna.
Language Arts teachers will soon be talking to students about the option of applying for an honors class. Next year we will be offering the following classes: 6th grade honors reading, 6th grade honors writing, 7th grade honors English, and 8th grade honors English. Students may pick up an application from their Language Arts teacher. Applications are due on Friday, May 9th.
Our last Box Tops / Soup label drawing will be May 15th. Bring in 20 Box Tops and/or Soup labels and be entered into a drawing for a fabulous prize!
In an effort to increase knowledge about the counseling profession, the American Counseling Association has started the “I am here” campaign. This campaign is intended to spread the word that professional counselors are everywhere and ready to make a difference! In addition to this campaign, the ACA has put out a great facts sheet that helps clarify the role of counselor and answers some common questions people may have about counseling.
